‘Bringing Memories to Life’
Using the research work and the memories workshops from the ‘100 years of mental health care in Hampshire’ project that has already taken place so far, the next stage to this project is to bring these stories to life with visual imagery.
We will be running a 5 week workshop in Portsmouth looking at how expression and emotion can be delivered to its audience in still images. Working on how the power that facial expression, body language and spatial positioning can have to tell a story, the group will create a series of images that lead us down an emotional ride in the history of mental health care. The final images that the group decide to use will be photographed and then exhibited at Portsmouth Central Library in early December and featured on our website.
